Meals in Heaven

Last night as I was cooking dinner Paul, my very picky and slow eater, asked what we were having...

I told him we were having...

fish...

broccoli...

and rice...

Paul then asks, "Mommy, will we have dinner in Heaven?"

I replied, "Well, I really do not know. What do you think?"

Paul says, "I think we will just have breakfast and lunch, no dinner."

Can you tell dinner is not his favorite meal of the day? As a matter of fact, he will be having his rice and broccoli for breakfast tomorrow... all he ate was the fish and that took him WAY TOO LONG! But he did eat his taco for dinner last night... in the past he has made tacos last at least for 3 meals...

Hard Questions from David...

Earlier this week David asked me some questions that I really was not sure how to answer...

"Mommy, Why do we have to stay in this world so long?"

After some quick pondering this is what I told him: "God has plans and purposes for all of us. He has things He wants us to do for Him everyday. When we have done all that He has for us to do here He will take us to Heaven." This must have satisfied him, as he did not ask any more questions.

Then he asked this:

"Mommy, When will we come down from Heaven? When God tells us too?"

He didn't really wait around long enough an answer, and I was very glad... I was not exactly sure of how to answer this one!

Where do they come up with some of these questions? I just wonder what goes on their little minds... I would love to hear their thoughts, but on one of their good days!
